Sox was our beloved cat, we had him from being 8 weeks old and he was the best cat anyone could have ever wished for!
The first time we met Sox was in our local pet shop. He was fast asleep whilst all the other kittens were wide awake and were jumping all over him. He looked so cute. Just lay there, so tiny and lonely looking, so we bought him. We had only gone in to buy sawdust for other pets but we couldn't resist the cute bindle of fur!
We took Sox home and he grew into a beautiful, happy, loving friend. Full of life and mischief but a very loyal animal, with a great personality too.
In April we let Sox out (around teatime) and we never imagined this would be the last time we would ever see him alive.
We still miss you Sox. Our house is not the same without you mate! Love you all the world. xx

The sun is still rising behind a grey curtain,
And the cold autumn grass drips with spider-web dew,
Darkness is falling each day ever earlier,
Without thinking, I still look for you.
I never had to look too far to find you,
Wherever I was then I knew you’d be near,

History took us on a long ride together,
Down through the years countless days without end,
Now I have to travel without you beside me,
And I miss you, my beautiful friend.
You filled my days with the joy of your presence,
It shattered my heart to set your soul free,
But somewhere I know at the end of this journey,
In the sunshine, you’re waiting for me.
Memories warm but they don’t take your place,
And the dreams only fill me with pain in the end,
But we’ll have forever to walk in the garden,
Me and my beautiful friend.
